Ice Walk

Modified on Mon, 29 Jan 2024 at 11:35 PM

When the Oeschinensee is frozen and the ice is thick enough, the lake can be entered. As soon as the tracks for the Ice Walk are prepared, the unique panorama around the Blümlisalp can be enjoyed directly from the lake.

The Ice Walk consists of a smaller and a larger loop, depending on how long you want to stay on the lake. Please note that temperatures on the Oeschinensee can be as low as -20 degrees below zero. The sun only reaches the lake towards the end of January. Appropriate equipment is essential, jeans and sneakers are not suitable. Special care should also be taken with children on sledges. As they don't move, they need to be wrapped up particularly warm, otherwise there is a risk of hypothermia.
